Wednesday 5th October Part 2.
Sometimes the pages vanish and i don't seem to be able to recover them.
so in summary we got up in Pocatello yesterdat am at 4.30, and were at the airport at 5.45 to catch the 30 min flight to Salt Lake City where we would change to a flight going to Denver airport which took just over an hour when we got to the huge Denver airportand after disembarking travel in an underground train to collect luggage for another terminal also catch the bus to the rental car lot which is some 15 min away in the bus.
as i think i said the Garmin lady took us through Denver downtown until we had enough and after talking to Bob on the phone we headed for the mountain and finally got onto the highway up to Lookout mountain.
we had a relaxed eveing and lovely supper and enjoyed our very comfortable rooms and beds.
this am we were up arounf 8am and had some breakfast, and fiddled around took the dogs for a walk with Bob and a friend who enjoys the walk, after which we had lunchin nearby Golden to pick and extar bag to put some overflow stuff, and some grocery type stuff, also a few chemist things.
Neill wanted to go to spyderco knife factory, and i had left the Garmin at home so although the I Phone with the USA "pay as you go" sim started working in some areas, and luckily as we got to outer suburbs of Denver/Golden it was working and we could find where Spyderco Knife co was and it could guide us there.
then we drove to the old main st of Golden which is quaint and Floss and the girls will remember it from when we went to church on Christmas eve in Golden.
Anne worked training care giovers today, and we were all home by around 5pm.
i still need to get the anti barking gadget as the shop we ent to did not have it, but there is another pet supermarket that i can try tomorrow while Bob and Neill go on a tour of the Colorado famous "Coors" beer Brewery in Golden.
Anne is just busy preparing supper and we will have a quiet evening at home.
last night when they let the dogs out before going to sleep, they have headlights for them, they are like the headlights the campers use except that the light is oc a collar, and hangs under their chins.
they said at first the dogs were unsure but now are used to the lights which shine whichever way they point their heads or look the light shines, and is useful, also as the dogs are black Labs they are not visible in the dark which was quite fun.
OK thats it for tonight in this part of the blog and i will add the photos in the next blog.
Neill has entertained us with a good few of his very detailed and lengthy stories about many South African typical foods.
I do hope you post a few pictures of the Knives seen at the factory Denver.
